ORDER: Huevos divorciados minus the feta and sour cream

Full disclosure, I love breakfast, Mexican food, and grown dogs with puppy fur. Two of these things made it into my brunch, and it’s exactly what you’re thinking, depending on where you are on the spectrum of well-adjusted human to sociopath. Just to make sure we’re all on the same page, breakfast + Mexican food = the huevos divorciados at Mohawk Bend. The divorciados is what I can only describe as flawless brunch perfection. Like if you could turn a smizing ‘90s Tyra Banks into a Mexican brunch item, it’d be this beautiful “mess” of fried eggs, chilaquiles, salsa roja, salsa verde, black beans, feta, sour cream, and cilantro. For all of us lactards, cut the feta and sour cream and all is good with the world. I also asked for extra salsa roja because I like my chips to be just on the verge of soggy, which I’m also using for the title of my future, yet to be written memoir about growing up in Glendale, “Just on the Verge of Soggy.”

In a nut shell, if you like breakfast and have taste buds, the divorciados will make you real happy, like probably close to how you’ll feel on your wedding day or when you have your first child. Yeah, just like that. Now go do it already. 😉
